Aeromexico to Add New Philadelphia, Atlanta Routes, Double Flights to Austin, Dallas

Aeromexico is set to expand its U.S. network with the addition of one new city, two new routes, and additional frequencies to other markets.

Starting June 5, Aeromexico will begin flying to Philadelphia (PHL) with a new route from Mexico City (MEX). Flights will operate daily using the Boeing 737 MAX 8:

  • AM608 Depart MEX 1:35 PM Arrive PHL 8:31 PM

  • AM609 Depart PHL 10:02 AM Arrive MEX 12:55 PM

This restores the nonstop link between Philadelphia and Mexico City after American Airlines dropped the route in 2019. Eastern Airlines attempted to launch PHL-MEX later, but flights never began.

Additionally, Aeromexico will expand in Delta’s Atlanta (ATL) hub with the addition of a new route to San Luis Potosi (SLP). Flights begin on June 5 with a daily Embraer 190.

Lastly, Aeromexico will double flights from Mexico City to both Austin (AUS) and Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) with the addition of a second daily flight starting June 26.
