Breeze Airways Adds 5 New Destinations, 18 New Routes Including a Retaliation Against Avelo Airlines

Breeze Airways is set to expand with several new routes and destinations, including ones that are a direct response to Avelo Airlines’ recent expansion.

Breeze Airways will begin flying to several new destinations:

  • Wilmington, North Carolina (ILM)

  • Daytona Beach, Florida (DAB)

  • South Bend, Indiana (SBN)

  • Newark, NJ (EWR)

  • Erie, PA (ERI)

From these new cities, Breeze will offer several routes:

  • ILM to Hartford (BDL)

  • ILM to Fort Myers (RSW)

  • ILM to Orlando (MCO)

  • ILM to Providence (PVD)

  • DAB to Hartford (BDL)

  • DAB to Raleigh/Durham (RDU)

  • DAB to Providence (PVD)

  • DAB to Westchester (HPN)

  • SBN to Orlando (MCO)

  • SBN to Fort Myers (RSW)

  • EWR to Charleston, WV (CRW)

  • ERI to Orlando (MCO)

Additionally, Breeze will add six routes from Sarasota, FL (SRQ):

  • SRQ to Akron/Canton (CAK)

  • SRQ to Islip (ISP)

  • SRQ to Portland, ME (PWM)

  • SRQ to Richmond (RIC)

  • SRQ to Raleigh/Durham (RDU)

  • SRQ to Westchester (HPN) (returning)

Just two weeks ago, Avelo Airlines announced it would launch flights from Hartford (BDL) with a handful of new routes, including to Wilmington, NC and Daytona Beach. Additionally, Avelo also announced a new route from Wilmington, NC to Fort Myers.

Now Breeze seems to be responding by adding all three of these new Avelo routes, along with ILM to Orlando which Avelo has already served for two years.

Lastly, Breeze is adding South Bend to its network with flights to Orlando and Fort Myers in Florida. This is a continuation of its recent strategy connecting smaller cities to these two Florida bases, effectively duplicating what Allegiant Air already serves using Sanford (SFB) and Punta Gorda (PGD).
