Hawaiian Airlines to Launch Seattle-Tokyo, Seattle-Anchorage Routes, Increased Flights to Alaska Airlines’ Hubs
Hawaiian Airlines is set to commence long-haul international flights from Seattle (SEA).
Starting May 12, 2025, Hawaiian will launch a new daily route from Seattle (SEA) to Tokyo, Japan (NRT) using the Airbus A330-200:
HA823 Depart SEA 1:30 PM Arrive NRT 4:00 PM (next day)
HA824 Depart NRT 6:25 PM Arrive SEA 11:30 AM
Hawaiian will also begin flying to Anchorage, Alaska (ANC) with double-daily Airbus A330 flights from Seattle (SEA). Hawaiian will serve the SEA-ANC route from June 12 until August 20.
Additionally, Hawaiian will increase flights on a number routes, including to Alaska Airlines’ hubs next summer:
Honolulu (HNL) to Seattle (SEA) 1x -> 4x daily with 3x A330 and 1x A321neo
Honolulu (HNL) to Portland (PDX) 1x -> 3x daily with 3x A321neo
Honolulu (HNL) to San Diego (SAN) 1x -> 3x daily with 1x A330 and 2x A321neo
Honolulu (HNL) to San Francisco (SFO) 1x -> 2x daily with 1x A330 and 1x A321neo
Honolulu (HNL) to Los Angeles (LAX) continues at 4x daily, including 2x Boeing 787s next summer
At the same time, Alaska Airlines will add several new routes to Hawaii:
Kona (KOA) to Los Angeles (LAX) starting June 12 with daily flights (served by Hawaiian)
Kona (KOA) to San Francisco (SFO) starting June 12 with 4x weekly flights (unserved by Hawaiian)
Lihue (LIH) to San Francisco (SFO) starting June 13 with 3x weekly flights (unserved by Hawaiian)
Alaska will also add a second daily Kahului (OGG) to Portland (PDX) flight next summer. It currently isn’t clear if Alaska and Hawaiian will take over some of each other’s flights with this latest network change.
