Icelandair Plans First Airbus A321LR Routes
Icelandair is set to debut its new Airbus A321LR to several destinations from Reykjavik (KEF):
Copenhagen (CPH) starting December 10
Stockholm (ARN) starting December 10 until May
London (LHR) starting December 23
Oslo (OSL) starting December 24
Dublin (DUB) starting February 2 until May
Toronto (YYZ) starting May 1 (limited service in May, regular flights begin in September)
Seattle (SEA) starting May 7
Rome (FCO) starting June 1 until September
Berlin (BER) starting June 1 until August
Paris (CDG) starting June 2 until August
Barcelona (BCN) starting June 2 until August
Zurich (ZRH) starting September 15
Icelandair also plans limited A321LR flights to several cities:
Manchester (MAN) several flights in April 2025
Glasgow (GLA) several flights in May 2025
Amsterdam (AMS)
Brussels (BRU)
Munich (MUC)
For the European destinations, most will operate alongside Icelandair’s existing aircraft, such as the 737 MAX, 757 or 767. However, Seattle (SEA) is planned to convert fully to the A321LR starting June 1, 2025 for all of Icelandair’s three daily flights.
Icelandair’s A321LRs are configured with 22 Business Class (Saga) and 165 Economy Class Seats.
The A321LR represents the airline’s first-ever Airbus aircraft. Icelandair will gradually retire its Boeing 757 fleet over the next few years as it takes delivery of A321LRs and the new A321XLR.
While subject to change, Icelandair also plans to fly the A321LR to Portland (PDX) and Tenerife (TFS) starting October and November 2025 respectively.
