Spirit Adds New Routes, Including Major Detroit Expansion
Spirit Airlines will soon be adding a major expansion from Detroit (DTW) with the addition of 15 new and returning routes.
New Routes:
DTW to Birmingham (BHM)
DTW to St. Louis (STL)
DTW to Richmond (RIC)
DTW to Norfolk (ORF)
DTW to Hartford (BDL)
DTW to Louisville (SDF)
DTW to Milwaukee (MKE)
DTW to Salt Lake City (SLC)
DTW to Punta Cana (PUJ)
Returning routes that were canceled in recent years:
DTW to Austin (AUS)
DTW to Kansas City (MCI)
DTW to Charleston (CHS)
DTW to Phoenix (PHX)
DTW to San Diego (SAN)
DTW to San Juan (SJU)
Other new routes:
Raleigh/Durham (RDU) to Nashville (BNA)
Hartford (BDL) to Nashville (BNA)
Indianapolis (IND) to New York (LGA)
Other restorations:
Columbus (CMH) to Boston (BOS)
Columbus (CMH) to Los Angeles (LAX)
These new and returning routes are currently set to begin throughout this summer. These start dates may adjust as Spirit finalizes its schedules in the coming months. As I previously reported, Spirit is also adding DTW to Raleigh/Durham, San Antonio, Memphis, and Charlotte starting in May.
This expansion is set to bring Spirit to nearly 40 nonstop routes from Detroit.
