Arajet Applies For New U.S. Routes, Including Atlanta, Denver, Los Angeles, Houston, and More

Dominican Republic-based Arajet has applied for permission to expand to a number of new U.S. destinations.

Arajet recently commenced flights to the United States with Miami (MIA), San Juan (SJU), and Newark (EWR). New flights to Sanford (SFB), Chicago (ORD), and Boston (BOS) will begin in the coming months.

Arajet’s rapid U.S. expansion will likely continue as the carrier has now requested the Dominican Republic’s Junta de Aviación Civil for authority to add 7 new U.S. cities:

  • Atlanta (ATL) from Punta Cana (PUJ)

  • Denver (DEN) from Punta Cana (PUJ)

  • Houston (IAH) from Punta Cana (PUJ)

  • Los Angeles (LAX) from Punta Cana (PUJ)

  • Philadelphia (PHL) from Punta Cana (PUJ)

  • Providence (PVD) from Punta Cana (PUJ)

  • San Francisco (SFO) from Santo Domingo (SDQ)

Arajet has also applied for several new routes to existing U.S. destinations:

  • Boston (BOS) from Punta Cana (PUJ)

  • Chicago (ORD) from Santo Domingo (SDQ)

  • Sanford (SFB) from Santo Domingo (SDQ)

  • Miami (MIA) from Santiago de los Caballeros (STI)

  • Newark (EWR) from Santiago de los Caballeros (STI)

Importantly, this is still an application subject to government approval. Additionally, Arajet may not begin all of these routes, but plans to have the authority ready if they choose to launch any.
