Brownsville represents Avelo’s first destination in Texas and its first to offer links to the eastern and western sides of the United States. Avelo will be Brownsville’s only low-cost airline and the only one providing nonstop flights to Burbank and Orlando. Additionally, the new Brownsville to Burbank route is the airline’s new longest route.

Avelo will also be the only airline providing nonstop flights between Colorado Springs and Burbank. Colorado Springs’ other service to Southern California is with Southwest Airlines to Long Beach (LGB), which will commence in July.

Earlier this week, Avelo announced a new destination—Charlottesville, Virginia (CHO)—with flights to Orlando. Following the additions of Brownsville and Colorado Springs, Avelo will offer 35 destinations across the country.
